Laser Surgery

Laser surgery is an advanced alternative to traditional surgical methods used in dermatology. Instead of a scalpel, a Carbon dioxide (CO₂)  laser beam is used to make precise incisions for skin growth removal and to vaporize (ablate) small skin growths. This technique minimizes pain, reduces bleeding, lowers the risk of infection all with shorter procedure time.

Here at Allergy Ear and Skin Care for Animals we used the most advanced VetScalpel CO₂ laser available. This laser allows us for quick and precise ablation of small tumors including:

• Sebaceous gland adenoma, sebaceous hyperplasia
• Pigmented viral plaques
• Viral warts
• Pre-cancerous sun-induced lesions
• Actinic in situ carcinoma
• Squamous cell carcinoma in situ
• Multiple sun-induced hemangioma

• Small ear pinna tumors
• Apocrine cysts - cystomatosis

Incisions made with this laser are precise and with little bleeding allowing for removal of:
